Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Partially melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl until soft but not completely liquid.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading. Do not flatten the dough balls.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes for large cookies and 8-9 minutes for small ones until golden around the edges and soft in the center.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
