Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash about three ripe bananas until smooth. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted unsalted butter, large eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt directly over your banana mixture. Fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar with cinnamon to create your cinnamon filling. Set aside.
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
- Pour the remaining batter over the first layer and tap the loaf pan to release air bubbles.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Swirl it gently into the batter using a knife or skewer.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
