Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Spread half of the chopped cabbage in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, layer the seasoned beef mixture, then cooked rice and diced tomatoes with their juices.
  4. Top with the remaining chopped cabbage and pour beef broth over the entire casserole.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes.
