  • 0.25 cups maple syrup or honey as alternative
  • 0.5 cups chocolate chips dark preferred
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt tiny pinch

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas and mix with 0.5 cups nut butter until smooth. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in 2 cups rolled oats, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 0.25 teaspoon salt until well combined.
  4. Add 0.25 cups maple syrup and mix in 0.5 cups chocolate chips, stirring until everything is blended.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, press down firmly, and optionally sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes, until golden edges appear and the center is set.
  7. Remove from oven and cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
