Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter and combine it with ¼ cup of vegetable oil. Whisk in 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold in 1 ½ cups of mashed ripe bananas into the wet mixture.
- Slowly stir in the dry ingredient mixture until there are no more flour pockets; do not overmix.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
