- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add in the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add this to the wet mixture.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the mix-ins (walnuts or chocolate chips).
