  • 1 cup nut butter peanut butter or almond butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup can substitute with honey or agave
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas and nut butter until well blended.
  3. Stir in rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and salt; mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the baking pan and flatten it into an even layer. Add chocolate chips on top if desired.
  5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set.
  6. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
