  • 4 pieces Everything Bagels
  • 8 ounces Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups Gruyere Cheese shredded
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese dollops
  • 8 pieces Eggs large
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper to taste
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Chives fresh, for garnish
  • 1 cup Additional Cheese for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Layer half of the diced everything bagels, then half of the cooked bacon, half of the Gruyere cheese, and dollops of cream cheese in the baking dish.
  4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients and press down gently.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Remove from the refrigerator and uncover.
  9. Bake covered with foil for 40 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes, then garnish with fresh chives.
