Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for 3-5 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in uncooked white rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. If not using an oven-safe skillet, transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the rice has absorbed the liquid and is tender.
  7. Remove from the oven, uncover, and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving.
