Preparation Steps
- Slice cucumbers into thin rounds and place in a large mixing bowl.
- Peel and slice red onion thinly, soak in cold water if desired, then add to the cucumbers.
- In a small bowl, whisk together white vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper until dissolved.
- Pour dressing over cucumber and onion mixture and gently toss to coat.
- Add freshly chopped dill and fold into the salad just before serving.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Stir gently before serving and enjoy chilled.
