Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick rounds and arrange them on the baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef or turkey, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and the egg if using.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties, place on each cabbage slice, and press gently.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the meat is thoroughly cooked and the cabbage is tender.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle cheese on top, and broil for 3-5 minutes until melted and golden brown.
