Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini for 3-5 minutes until al dente, then drain.
  6. Combine the drained tortellini with the beef and sauce mixture in a large bowl.
  7. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and slightly golden.
  9. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving this comforting dish.
