Step-by-Step Instructions for Ground Beef with Korean Flavors
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef and break it apart using a spatula. Cook for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Mix in ¼ cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add crushed red pepper flakes to taste, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
