  2. Add crushed saltines, room temperature eggs, and garlic powder into the meat mixture. Stir gently until combined.
  3. Scoop about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into round meatballs, yielding about 16-20 meatballs. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Allow the shaped meatballs to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare the casserole dish by lightly greasing it.
  6. Arrange the meatballs in the prepared casserole dish and top each with a small squirt of ketchup.
  7. Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  8. Prepare the sauce by whisking together ketchup, brown sugar, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, adding crushed tomatoes if desired.
