Ingredients
  

For the Beef and Sauce
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Use 80% lean or higher
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce Opt for low-sodium
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Fresh, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil A little goes a long way
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Slurry Blend with water until smooth
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Add to taste
  • 1/4 cup Water
For the Noodles
  • 8 ounces Noodles Spaghetti, udon, or rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil For cooking the beef
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook noodles according to package instructions, about 7-10 minutes. Drain and toss with vegetable oil.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and water until smooth. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Pour the sauce over the beef in the skillet and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  6. Mix cornstarch slurry with water and add gradually to the skillet, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked noodles, tossing to coat everything in the sauce, and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat, drizzle sesame oil, and mix in half of the green onions. Serve garnished with the rest.
