  • 4 slices Bacon chopped
  • 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 unit Lemon squeezed for juice

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Gradually stir in stone-ground grits, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for about 20-25 minutes until creamy.
  2. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium-high heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove bacon and leave drippings in the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Then add shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in the reserved crispy bacon and any additional broth if sauce appears too thick. Cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
  5. Spoon the creamy grits into bowls, top with the shrimp and bacon mixture, and finish with lemon juice and herbs.
