Marinating and Cooking
- In a large bowl or resealable plastic bag, combine chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, ideally up to 24 hours.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Allow the oil to heat without smoking.
- Add marinated chicken thighs to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 5 minutes without moving them.
- Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes. Pour remaining marinade into the pan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low after the marinade boils. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens to a sticky consistency.
- Drizzle the sauce over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well-coated. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes
Marinate longer for deeper flavors. Monitor heat to prevent burning. Check chicken temperature at 165°F (74°C). Add water to loosen sauce if necessary.
