Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by cutting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl of marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Allow to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  4. In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it starts to shimmer.
  5. Carefully add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once the chicken is browned, gently stir in the fresh pineapple chunks and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour any remaining marinade into the skillet, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Taste your Sticky Pineapple Chicken and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  10. Serve hot over steamed rice or alongside noodles.
