Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or ground turkey for a leaner option
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Monterey Jack, sharp cheddar, or pepper jack
For the Dough
  • 2 tubes Crescent Rolls or gluten-free crescent dough
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Fresh Veggies (Lettuce, Tomatoes)
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Guacamole

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Large Skillet
  • Parchment paper
  • Pizza Cutter

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat and stir in taco seasoning and the water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Unroll the crescent rolls on your prepared baking sheet in a sunburst pattern with wide ends pointing outward.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the wide ends of the dough triangles and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. Fold the points of the crescent dough triangles over the beef filling, tucking underneath the wide sections to seal.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the dough is golden brown. For an extra cheesy touch, sprinkle reserved cheese on top for the last 5 minutes.
  7. Allow the Taco Ring to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing into wedges for serving.
